It all started in year 1934 with the vision and dedication of Mr. Maganlalbhai Parekh. During pre-independence, the idea of opening a showroom of Home Furnishings & Curtains was laughed at. The logistics of procurement from manufacturers in India and abroad was a nightmare and a long drawn process. Then, he had to educate the masses about the everyday use of home furnishings and curtains, which was a slow and tough task. Yet, this didn’t discourage him. With a lot of dedication, persistent focus and a prayer, Maganlalbhai Parekh went ahead with his vision and today AToZ is the oldest and the largest Home Furnishings and Curtains Showroom in Mumbai.
A to Z Retail Ltd. pioneered the concept of Mumbai’s first ever ‘one stop shop’ for personal and household quality products. It housed products like soft furnishings, home linen and accessories, carpets and a wide range of apparels.
77 years later, in an era of glitzy malls and designer brands, A to Z Retail Ltd. still remains a shopper’s paradise which has enormous mass of loyalists who throng all its four outlets across Mumbai and Thane district.
The first to introduce the concept of ‘everything under one roof’, A to Z retail Ltd. Has carved a niche for itself in the huge unorganized sector retail sector. It is probably the only organized player in the organized sector to have grown from its humble beginnings of a single family-owned store to a professionally managed multi-showroom, multi crore group.
Today, A to Z retail has its presence in the shopper’s paradise Crawford Market and upcoming posh suburbs like Mulund, Thane and Vasai.
